Hahaha hello moto everyone this blog is pretty dead for now. FOR NOW. :D

Anyway! We haven't met in a while, so Kaiming / Mel / Cat / I thought that we should have a class gathering soon, maybe in June after Siong Hwai / Zhiwei / Zhen Chao / Kaiming POP. :) YEP! It'd be good to catch up with everyone again. And maybe -hopefully- with our teachers as well :)

On a random note, the new Artemis Dept Fac Head is from our grand-junior class, haha! :D

A-level results

dear o7s6B,

i just want to congratulate all those who did well for the A-levels, and remind all those who didn't get their A's that if you showed significant improvement (e.g. if you were getting U or S all the way until the prelims), you should be happy and proud of your achievements.

For some of you who got unexpected B's or C's, just remember this.

In the end, it doesn't really matter.

So you encounter a minor setback. So you have to readjust your plans for further studies. I believe everyone in our class got good enough results to enter the university, and probably even the course of your choice.

If you've worked steadily and hard, but still ended up with a B (e.g. in Physics). Don't be too disappointed. Both you and I know that you are no less deserving of an A as much as the other 6 in 10 students who got the A. For such situations you know i will readily vouch for you in a recommendation.

For those of you who think... KNOW, you could have done better, had you started to work earlier. Remember and learn from this lesson. Don't make the same mistake in the army/university.

Advise your juniors too, lest they experience the same regret that you do now. In hindsight everything is 20/20.

For those who wonder why i chose to give you your result slip face down, and mostly did not say congratulations, it was because i wanted to give you the right to discover your own results under your own circumstances.

Some of your chose to share your delight/happiness/satisfaction/gratitude with me, in which case i congratulated you.

Some of you chose to share your disappointment/sorrow/regret with me. In which case I may have sympathized with you, but congratulated and reminded you that it was it was not the B you should be disappointed in but perhaps the 3 A's you should be proud of.

Or i may have pointed out that your C was a 4 grade improvement from a U.

Results that would have made a student proud in any other school often do not in this school, because we have been too conditioned to believe that everyone gets 4 A's. It is a unique flaw with a school that celebrates it's outstanding results and gives the impression that anything less is unacceptable.

By now all the happiness/sadness would have subsided. Results would probably have been put in perspective.

Once again,

To those who did well, congratualtions.

To those who did well but maybe not all A's and are/were disappointed, take heart and be proud of the A's that you did obtain.

To those who know you could have done better, well... just be more proactive the next time opportunity comes knocking, in whatever form.

The A-levels may be a culmination of 2/6 years (for IP) of study, but you still have much ahead of you.

Whatever the case... Life.Goes.On.

Hello everyone! our nice junior Zijie has invited us to his place on fri 26th dec for a post christmas party. It starts in the day till night so if u can make it in the day just arrive early yah. there'll be potluck so we'll have to bring some food too. N there's a Decoder's outing on mon 29th dec. it's a boardgames cafe just like settlers, from 2-6pm for $6 per person. Hello everyone! it has been so long since i last posted sth on this blog..but my prev entry is still considered recent ah..cos not many ppl posting ah..haha..mm but nvm yah everyone must work hard for A levels.. and go on to study sth u like in uni..but no matter, we must still stay in contact after A's and all alright? Hello all! haha congrats for having endured the long and painful study wk and block test period. haha after living through the traumatising papers of chem and maths and the always so confusing econs paper, let's all enjoy our "postponed" well-deserved march hols..haha..(though its onli a short 2 days)

soo...when do u all want the STJ? the juniors will decide on the venue though.. we just need to settle on a date when we are free. Preferably next sat 5th April..evening to night probably...those who see this msg or have received my sms pls help pass the msg around and ask around. Try to keep that night available k =)) if u are unavailable tt night then tell me again..and will choose another possible date if necessary.

haha anyway wanna plan a decent class outing soon? maybe to sentosa, east coast west coast etc for like cycling blading etc..or u all wanna movie outing or some kbox or go someone's house to havoc and play??haha..choose ba and make any other suggestions if u have..

heyy heres an update on the class t-shirts.
i've sent all the designs and sizes to the printer, and confirmed with him for 26 polo tees, white base colour. the price is ard 17+ per shirt (i think theres quite a lot of colours- w/b for front and w/b/yellow/grey for back). yep yep quite ex i noe cant get discount leh.

he says it can only be finished end feb, cos cny period there are many orders and they dont operate during that period. yah so end feb then can collect.

HEYY its been quite some time since i last posted.

anyway here is the update on the class t-shirts:
the front design is changed since we decided on polo. just learnt from printer about that few days back. its going to be POLO, WHITE base colour, black print in front, black grey and yellow print behind (yellow in replacement of the originally agreed gold)
the printer is Ancell go look at their website at here.

theres no difference in guy's size and girl's size. heres the list of sizes for everyone::

hey guys. this is the new CIP rep here. hahaha. anyway, some of you might have seen a piece of paper with a heading of "07S6B CIP" and with lots of venues and dates being passed around. i'm going to tell you guys more about the CIP activities i'm getting for you guys.

basically, you guys will be given the chance to help publicise for an event called Storyboard '08 organised by *scape. for those who don't know about *scape, it's actually located opposite orchard cineleisure and it's a youth centre. more info about the event can be found at http://www.storyboard.youth.sg/

there're different activites you can take part in to get your CIP hours.
you can choose to sell tickets for the outdoor movie screenings held at *scape, give out flyers about the event or help out at a panel discussion and the movie screenings.

for selling tickets and giving flyers, you can get to earn some money from doing these. so it's money + CIP hours!

so if you wanna help, you can ask cat for the list and pick your preferable venue/date. please try to make up your mind before this weekend. thanks! will try keep you guys posted about more CIP activities.

Hello all haha i've not blogged for very very very very llooonnnggg...haha so i shld just blog now since its a new year!! eh yah like wenjing said we should think of games to entertain our juniors since we have so much time for the jnr meet snr session. The class will probably be split into half and each half goes on one day, I think.

We'll be helping old folks / needy families do up their houses. Mostly painting work, I think. It'll be at Lengkok Bahru which is near Redhill MRT!

It's not compulsory, but it's better to do CIP earlier in the year right :) If you go one day I think it's about 8 hours already. YAY SO GO :DDD

Heyy. seems like many of us prefer polo. Hmm.

The printer said that for polo, because the material for polo has a lot of those small holes, the shiny gold colour we want would fade or be washed off after a few times, thus he doesnt recommend polo IF we want gold.
however we could always change it back to black...... or any other colours.

For t-shirts, there isnt any difference between the guys size and gals size actually.. just pick what u usually choose lah. for example im taking L and eddie should take M... choose accordingly lor.

Venue: Costa Sands Resorts @ Sentosa

BBQ will be on the first night since fac outing will be on the second. Some of us will probably have to meet on Sunday to prepare and marinate the food, ANY VOLUNTEERS!? Anw, if anyone has to abstain from any type of food, please inform me beforehand.

Whee this is my first time having a chalet+stayover in Sentosa. Hope everyone else is as excited as i am! oh ya some ppl please bring mahjong, cards, boardgames, volleyball, soccerball, frisbee, and whatever you guys wanna play over there!

heyy. okay since we all decided on black + gold on white, here's the final result. i've decided to leave the front as what it was originally; as for the back i changed to colours of the words to gold.

the printer im looking for recommends cotton tee as gold color on polo may not have best outcomes; and colour may wash off easily. so i hope everyone is agreeable to this design on white cotton tea (round neck?). yep yep

im designing our class tshirt. hopefully i can come up with a design that is aesthetically pleasing and satisfies almost everyone.
here are a few questions regarding the tee, please answer using the "comment" button below.

1. do you prefer a shirt with many colours (price will be higher) or one with little colours. one design with many colours is: imagine multi-coloured paint splashed on the wall (it should be more aesthetically pleasing)

2. what is ur budget hopefully? $10? $20? more?

3. should the design be constricted to a theme or something? currently theres none.

We had our Girls Vball finals today. Zhiwei, Honghao, Longyi and i went down to toa payoh with the c2s to watch the match. when we arrive there, the first game was about to be over. We then saw Wenjing playing. Shishuang din get to play, haha, but next season maybe can ba. here is a clip of wenjing during the match.

welldone 6Bees, we haf do ourself proud by winning de sch track & field inter-ct championship...=D, a "pat" for ourself, our actice participation did not go to waste. u may wonder y 7C was mistaken to be de winning ct. there's a miscaculation with our total score.

our total score before 2day is abt 170+, while 7C had 180+, so we r abt 10 pts behind dem. thus with our pts from de 800m and javenlin on de final day, we shd had a total of 190+(i no very sure) pts and 7C would haf 185/6 pts. but our pts for de final day was apparently no updated and thus 7C won... and thanx to KM and ViVian, we managed to clear de doubts with de teacher and guess wat? WE WON....

sighh.. right now sch life is rather.. bleargh.. what with numerous tuts, lectures, lecture tests and various stuff coming up. we just had physics spa, which i think quite a lot of us screwed up in. but dun worry, we have other practicals where we can help to make amends. just make sure in the end all of us get A can liao.. sch is getting rather busy.. and all of us are now increasingly caught up with the numerous things that keep piling up endlessly.. we are all trapped in this unforgiving cycle.

not so enthusiastic about things anymore. yea, enthusiasm ebbs away.. sigh.

anyways the class bench thing. i know it's a super small matter, and maybe im making a mountain out of a molehill. most of us do not really like the class bench location now.. what with it being in a place where there are so many passerbys. i've tried asking the classes there, but it's quite futile. no class wld move over, i think, unless they were already in the right wing and like it. and yea, right wing can be quite cool too, according to some ppl.

i dunno if there's anything we can do abt it. i suppose we can always kope the wooden stage, since no one uses it and it's our di pan anyway. =P i suppose we can always go there to stone when we feel like it. so sad, our cls bench is no longer where it was. seriously, when it's time for breaks for anything, i always tend to walk towards the left wing, only to realise that hey, maybe this isnt where i shld be heading now...

i dunno whether there can be a solution. maybe work smthg out with the classes there? propose a 'diplomatic' solution like share class benches? but that wld be like last time, which i seriously dont mind at all.. so what if the benches are rather cramped? no one actually sits there anyway ahhaha. we just pile the bags up. *63 and 6f lor. can still occupy that area, then we get chased out. hmph. how can like that?!

*no offence to abovementioned classes.

sigh. alright, these are purely personal opinions. so dont come and zham me if u happen to love the current class bench location.
